For Lisbon Art Weekend, CoolShit presents “Rock Rock” at ChopShop, an artist-run space in Lisbon for experimental sculpture and one-off projects. Playful, loose and often visible from the street, the “Rock Rock” is a large sculpture of a rock. LEDs embedded in its surface respond to people passing by, and the visuals shift as you get closer. It is a sculpture that seems to notice you. With interactive programming by Gus Damian, the work can be seen from the street 24 hours a day, through the window, so it can be experienced outside gallery hours.
