Founded in 1964 by Manuel de Brito, Galeria 111 is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year; over the past six decades, Galeria 111 has presented a diverse exhibition programme based on exhibitions by a wide range of the most representative national and, also, international artists.

In 2020, Galeria 111 moved its headquarters to the refurbished space at Rua Dr. João Soares, 5B, in Lisbon, with an exhibition space, a large collection area and private parking.

Under the direction of Rui Brito, the gallery continues to promote the launch of publications, as well as collaborating with public and private institutions in the promotion of Portuguese contemporary art.
