Galeria Filomena Soares was founded in 1999 in Lisbon and has since established itself as a leading reference in the contemporary art scene in Portugal. Located in the eastern part of the city, in an area marked by urban regeneration, the gallery occupies a spacious venue of approximately 1,000 square meters, featuring two exhibition rooms that accommodate projects of different scales and formats.

Throughout its history, the gallery has developed a consistent and dynamic programme dedicated to promoting both national and international artists, as well as collaborating with curators, cultural institutions, and prestigious art fairs. In addition to exhibitions, it has also produced monographs, exhibition catalogues, artist books, and limited editions, reinforcing its role in the dissemination and critical reflection of contemporary art.

Its mission is centred on the promotion of contemporary artistic production, fostering an active dialogue between artists, curators, researchers, and institutions within both the Portuguese and international contexts.
