NAVE Gallery was founded in May 2019 by Mercedes Cerón in the Príncipe Real neighbourhood of Lisbon. Since 2021, even during the result of the pandemic, the gallery has begun developing a line of international art projects focused on promoting new exhibition spaces for its represented Portuguese and international artists, through collaborations with institutions, curators, galleries, and independent spaces.

With a greater focus on young and emerging artists—but over time, extending to mid-career artists—this cooperation model has allowed the gallery to redesign the artists' professional growth, promoting them internationally and contributing to the dissemination of their work in other settings and audiences.

This global vision of the art scene has enabled a significant group of artists who are part of the gallery (or have been in the past) to make the necessary leap into new markets and opportunities. NAVE Gallery presents a regular and consistent program and has so far shown 42 national and international exhibitions and participated in 7 international art fairs.

NAVE is a member of EXHIBITIO - the Portuguese Association of Gallery Owners.
