NowHere is an independent platform dedicated to research, dialogue, and contemporary artistic practices, founded in Lisbon in 2018. Created by immigrant women, the association emerged from the need to build a space of care, exchange, and mutual support for artists and cultural practitioners working in contexts of mobility.

In 2020, during the pandemic, NowHere opened its first physical space, consolidating its activities through an ongoing program that includes exhibitions, residencies, mentoring, study groups, and public events. Since 2025, it has been operating from a new venue, expanding its capacity to support and host its artistic community.

Its mission is centered on fostering an environment grounded in care, listening, and the sharing of knowledge, aiming to make the mechanisms of the art system more accessible and to support the professional and social integration of migrant artists. At the same time, NowHere positions itself as a space for curatorial experimentation and critical inquiry, engaged in rethinking modes of production, mediation, and circulation in contemporary art.
