Galeria Filomena Soares
Since its foundation, in 1999, Galeria Filomena Soares` main objective is to foster contemporary artistic production, by nurturing a productive dialogue between artists, curators and institutions. Throughout its 20 years of existence, the gallery, representing artists of different generations and nationalities, has played a key role in the Portuguese and in the international art scenes and continuously contributed to the promotion and dissemination of contemporary art.
Galeria Filomena Soares is located in the east side of Lisbon, an area that was for decades an industrial pole of great importance to the city’s growth. The gallery’ space includes two exhibition rooms with different sizes and facilities, which allows it to host a large variety of exhibitions and other artistic events.
